One of the beauties of the James Bond films is that you can watch them completely out of order. With little-to-no relation of plots from one movie to another you don't feel obligated to watch the sequentially. When Skyfall came out I want to go see it because in the time between Quantum of Solace and the release of Skyfall I had seen the original Sean Connery Bond films and had a new interest in the films. I felt a little bad that I hadn't seen the other Craig's but I went ahead and saw it. Just recently I thought that I should go ahead and see Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. There were a lot of things about this movie that I found very interesting and that I liked a lot. The opening sequence with the incredible Parkour done at the construction site. The whole time I was glued to the screen. I liked how Bond got the same classic car from the old 60's Bond films. For the most part I enjoyed the Texas Holdem games, however in some parts they did drag on and were some what predictable.
!!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!!MOUSE OVER TO REVEAL!!!!!
I did not see Vesper Lynd (his girlfriend)'s death coming, that was surprising.
Over all it was a good movie. I'd say it gets 4 ingredients, just because some of the games dragged on. Once get around to seeing Quantum of Solace I will review that as well. Thank you for reading my review of Casino Royale, see you next time.
