Recently, Peter Jackson hosted a live event where he showcased a preview of the new movie The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, a tour of the set, behind the scenes clips of the new movies, and on-air Q&A of the movie. Because I bought the film on DVD I had an access code to watch this. Here is a link to download the file containing all of the pictures. I do not know if the video of this live event will be released for everyone, but incase not you can see some of the screen shots of it. Here is a list of new things I learned about the upcoming movie.
*Seen in the sneak peak that they showed us
- Legolas will be returning
- *Gandalf investigates the tomb references in the first Hobbit movie
- *Radagast The Brown also returns
- Steven Fry will be playing the Master of Laketown
- There is a new Elven character that appears in the movie (played by Evangeline Lilly)
The first trailer is going to appear this summer in front of one of the movies in theaters. I am guessing Star Trek: Into Darkness, because it is going to be a big hit and is long anticipated so lots of people will be there. I would also guess Iron Man 3 but I find that more unlikely because it is coming out this "summer", and Jackson specifically said that it will come out this summer, either way, its soon. After watching this video I can't wait even less for the movie to come out but it seems like forever.
