Fall…Skyfall. Last night I went to see the new James Bond movie, Skyfall. Now I have only seen the original Sean Connery "Bond Films" and was curious to see how these new ones were. I knew that Craig had been doing Bond films because I had seen movie posters for both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. I also knew going in that all of the Bond films had nothing to do with (plot wise) with the previous one, or the next one. They are not a series, but more as individual films. I really enjoyed this one. Coming from Bond in the 60's and 70's this was a lot cooler in the way it was set up. There were big parts involving computer tracking and hacking which fueled a lot of the movie. There were some funny jokes/references to previous films that made the movie flow. In example, Bond's original car was there, but when it was destroyed he got really angry and blew up a mansion with two propane tanks. But enough with that. Some sequences were very cool and mysterious such as when a villain attacked Bond with a train, or when Bond threw a sniper off a sky-scraper in China. As always, the films have really interesting and wild opening credits and this one was a blast. Now like I said, the last one I saw was from the 70's so I don't know if the others are any good or not, but I'm sure they are. It appears that there will be a sequel starring Daniel Craig in the near future. Now when I say sequel I don't mean follow-up to Skyfall but just another one. Daniel Craig was really great in this one and I would love to see him in upcoming films. Thanks for reading, and be sure to tell your friends about the blog, thanks so much. As always, see you next time.
